Aker Stadion has emerged as Norway's most active shared football venue in 2026, staging top-flight fixtures for both Molde FK in the Eliteserien and Molde W in the Toppserien across a demanding autumn calendar.
The 11,249-capacity fjordside arena has hosted men's and women's matches in near-constant rotation throughout the season, with both sides calling the ground their permanent home base.
Back-to-Back Defeats on Home Soil
September has been a tough month at Aker Stadion on the results front. Molde W fell to a 1-0 defeat against Hønefoss on 13 September — the visitors' only goal arriving before half-time — before Molde FK suffered a painful 1-2 loss to Aalesund in the west-coast Eliteserien derby on 19 September, having trailed 0-2 at the break.
The back-to-back home defeats have put pressure on both squads as the season enters its decisive phase.
Women's Side Back in Action on Saturday
The stadium gets another chance to lift the mood this Saturday, 26 September, when Molde W host Vålerenga W in a Toppserien fixture with a 1:00 PM kick-off. It is the next instalment in what officials have described as the most intense home programme in the stadium's recent history.
Looking further ahead, Molde W return to action at Aker Stadion again on 4 October when they welcome Stabæk W — keeping the fjordside venue at the heart of Norwegian women's football deep into autumn.
