Aker Stadion's Biggest Home Month: Tromsø, LSK and a Community Weekend
August has become the most action-packed home month of the 2026 season at Aker Stadion, with Tromsø IL due on 16 August and Molde W hosting LSK Kvinner on 22 August. The club has also launched a friendship-and-inclusion initiative inviting the whole region to the fjord-side arena for the Tromsø fixture. Tickets for all home games are on sale now through the official Molde FK platform.
A Month Like No Other at Aker Stadion
August 2026 has shaped up to be the busiest home month of the season at Aker Stadion. After Molde FK opened the schedule with a pulsating 3–3 draw against Sarpsborg 08 FF on 2 August, attention has quickly turned to the next home fixture: Tromsø IL visit the fjord-side arena on 16 August, with kick-off set for 17:00.
The month does not end there. On 22 August, Aker Stadion plays host to a Toppserien clash as Molde W take on LSK Kvinner — giving supporters two consecutive home weekends of top-flight Norwegian football at the same venue.
Inclusion Weekend: Fans Invited to Bring a Friend
Off the pitch, Molde FK have announced a special community initiative tied to the Tromsø fixture. In partnership with MOT, the club is dedicating the week surrounding the 16 August match to themes of friendship and inclusion, inviting the entire region to Aker Stadion. Season-card holders are specifically encouraged to bring along a friend who might not otherwise attend — a gesture designed to open the gates of the stadium to a wider audience.
The initiative underlines the role Aker Stadion plays beyond league football, serving as a genuine community hub in Molde — much as it did in July when it hosted a Minnekamp memorial match just days before the high-profile visit of SK Brann.
Women's Football Takes Centre Stage
One of the defining features of the 2026 season has been the establishment of Aker Stadion as the permanent home base for Molde W throughout the entire campaign. The Toppserien fixture against LSK Kvinner on 22 August marks the latest chapter in that story, and the club's growing investment in the women's game is reflected in the stadium's fixture calendar.
With a capacity of 11,249 and facilities including a restaurant, café, ten kiosks and eight commentary boxes, the arena is well placed to welcome full crowds for both the men's and women's fixtures that close out the month.
Tickets and Squad News
Tickets for all remaining August home fixtures are available through Molde FK's official ticketing platform. On the squad front, striker Igor Gosik has been recalled from his loan spell at Strømsgodset, returning to bolster Molde's options ahead of the Tromsø match. Meanwhile, young midfielder Trent Koné-Doherty — who joined from Liverpool in February — has been spotlighted by the club in a new behind-the-scenes video, as Molde look to build momentum at home through the run-in.
