Aker Stadion's Busiest Season: Six Home Games Still to Play
Aker Stadion has established itself as one of Norway's most active football venues in 2026, hosting men's and women's top-flight fixtures across a packed calendar. With six Eliteserien home matches still to come, the autumn promises to be the most intense period yet for the fjordside arena.
A Season Like No Other at the Fjordside Arena
Aker Stadion is heading into the final stretch of what has been its busiest and most varied season in recent memory. The 11,249-capacity ground in Molde has served as a dual venue throughout 2026, hosting both Eliteserien men's football and Toppserien women's football across a packed match calendar that has kept the arena in near-constant use since February.
The women's side made their mark at the ground in August when Molde W hosted LSK Kvinner in a Toppserien Round 13 fixture, underlining the stadium's role as a shared home for top-flight football on both sides of the game.
Cup Football Adds to the Programme
Domestic cup action has also featured on the Aker Stadion bill this season. A Norwegian Cup tie against Trygg/Lade is listed on the fixture schedule for 16 September, to be played at Koteng Arena, while the stadium itself has previously had a cup fixture moved to it — a sign of the venue's standing as a reliable, high-capacity host for knockout football in the region.
The breadth of competition has placed considerable demands on the stadium's infrastructure, including its restaurant, café, ten matchday kiosks and eight commentary boxes — all of which have been in regular service throughout the campaign.
Looking Ahead to a Decisive Autumn
With six home Eliteserien games still remaining, the final months of the 2026 season will see Aker Stadion host a series of high-stakes encounters, culminating in home fixtures against Bodø/Glimt and Viking in late November and early December. For stadium staff, volunteers and supporters alike, the work is far from done — and the biggest nights of the season may still lie ahead.
