Aker Stadium Hits New Heights in Its Busiest Autumn Ever
Aker Stadium is in the middle of the most demanding home schedule in its recent history. Hosting both Molde FK and Molde W across two top-flight competitions simultaneously, the 11,249-capacity fjordside arena has become the most active shared football venue in Norway. The packed calendar runs all the way through to December.
Aker Stadium at Full Stretch This Autumn
Aker Stadium has firmly established itself as the most active shared football venue in Norway during the 2026 season. The 11,249-capacity arena on the shores of the Romsdalsfjord is hosting both Molde FK in the Eliteserien and Molde W in the Toppserien, bringing top-flight football to the fjordside ground on an almost weekly basis throughout the autumn.
The sheer volume of fixtures — covering two separate national top-flight competitions simultaneously — is described as unprecedented in the stadium's recent history.
A Calendar Packed Until December
The schedule shows no sign of easing. For Molde FK, the remaining Eliteserien home programme features Start, Fredrikstad, Bodø/Glimt, and Viking all still to visit Aker Stadium before the season concludes. A Norwegian Cup tie against Strømsgodset is also scheduled at the venue later in October, adding knockout football to an already demanding calendar.
Molde W, meanwhile, have their own busy Toppserien home programme to navigate, with Stabæk W and Bodø/Glimt W among those still to visit the fjordside ground before the campaign wraps up.
On matchdays, the venue's restaurant, café, ten kiosks, and eight commentary boxes are all put to full use — a testament to the operational demands the dual programme places on the stadium and its staff.
Fans Encouraged to Plan Ahead
With so many fixtures still to be played, supporters are being encouraged to plan their visits in advance. Tickets for all remaining home matches across both the Eliteserien and Toppserien are available through Molde FK's official ticketing platform.
For a stadium that has barely had a quiet weekend since the summer, the final months of 2026 promise to be the most intense chapter yet in what is already shaping up to be a historic season on the Romsdalsfjord.
