Aker Stadium's Busiest Autumn Ever — and It's Far From Over
Aker Stadium is in the middle of the most demanding home schedule in its recent history, hosting top-flight football for both Molde FK and Molde W on an almost weekly basis throughout 2026. With a string of Eliteserien, Toppserien and Norwegian Cup fixtures still to come, the fjordside arena is set to remain one of Norway's most active football venues well into the winter. Sunday's Toppserien clash between Molde W and Stabæk W is next up.
A Season Like No Other
Aker Stadium is in the grip of the most intense home programme it has seen in recent years. Hosting both Molde FK in the Eliteserien and Molde W in the Toppserien throughout the full 2026 season, the 11,249-capacity arena on the shores of the Romsdalsfjord has been in near-constant use since February — establishing itself as one of Norway's busiest shared football venues.
The scale of the undertaking has become increasingly clear as the autumn has unfolded. With top-flight men's and women's fixtures rotating through the calendar on an almost weekly basis, the stadium's operations team has had precious little downtime between matchdays.
What's Still to Come
The packed schedule shows no sign of easing. On the women's side, Molde W host Stabæk W on Sunday 4 October at 1:00 PM in their next Toppserien home fixture, followed later in the month by a visit from Bodø/Glimt W on 31 October.
For Molde FK's men, the Eliteserien home calendar still features clashes against Start on 18 October and Fredrikstad on 25 October, with a Norwegian Cup tie against Strømsgodset also scheduled at Aker Stadium on 28 October. The season then builds towards marquee late-autumn encounters against Bodø/Glimt and Viking.
A Focal Point for Norwegian Football
The dual-use arrangement has brought a wider variety of matchdays to supporters in Molde and cemented the stadium's standing as a reliable, high-capacity host for top-flight football in the region. With both squads still deeply involved in their respective competitions, Aker Stadium looks set to remain a focal point of Norwegian football well into December.
Tickets for all remaining home fixtures are available through Molde FK's official ticketing platform.
