With Molde FK heading to Intility Arena to face Vålerenga on Saturday 29 August, attention at Aker Stadion is turning firmly to what the home fixture list holds in the weeks ahead. The club currently sit fourth in the Eliteserien table on 27 points after 17 matches, and the next chance for the home crowd to roar them on arrives on 6 September when KFUM visit Aker Stadion.
The September double-header — KFUM at home, then a trip to Briskeby to face HamKam, before Aalesund arrive on 19 September — shapes up as a decisive stretch in what is developing into a competitive title race.
August's Home Programme in Review
Aker Stadion's August programme was one of the busiest months at the ground in 2026. The schedule included a home match against Tromsø IL on Sunday 16 August — round 17 of the Eliteserien — with kick-off at 17:00. The ground's facilities, including its restaurant, café and ten kiosks, were put to full use for what was billed as the highlight of the month's three home fixtures.
Just six days after the Tromsø fixture, Molde W welcomed LSK Kvinner W to Aker Stadion in round 13 of the Toppserien on 22 August, underlining the ground's role as a shared home for top-flight football in Molde.
Eyes on the Autumn Run-In
With Molde positioned in the top four, the remaining home fixtures take on added weight. After KFUM and Aalesund in September, the schedule brings Start (18 October), Fredrikstad (25 October), Bodø/Glimt (22 November) and Viking (6 December) to the Romsdal fjord.
The artificial surface, in place at Aker Stadion since 2014, guarantees all six fixtures will be played regardless of the Norwegian autumn and winter weather — giving the home side a reliable base from which to chase a strong finish to the season.
