Stabæk W Down Molde W 3-0 in Toppserien Clash at Aker
Stabæk W secured a convincing 3-0 Toppserien victory at Aker Stadium on October 4, handing Molde W a second consecutive home defeat. The visitors were dominant from the start, going in at the break with a two-goal cushion. It is a third straight home loss in the league for the home side.
Stabæk Arrive and Leave with the Points
Molde W suffered a third straight Toppserien home defeat on Sunday afternoon, going down 0-3 to Stabæk W at Aker Stadium in front of the fjordside faithful. Stabæk took control early, leading 0-2 at the break before wrapping up the victory in the second half.
The result means Molde W have been unable to find the net in either of their two most recent home fixtures at the 11,249-capacity arena, a run that will give the squad plenty to reflect on ahead of the next home assignment.
A Difficult Autumn at Home
The defeat follows the 0-4 loss to Vålerenga W at Aker Stadium on September 26, in which the visitors led 0-1 at half-time before pulling clear in the second period. Back-to-back home defeats in Toppserien have dampened what has otherwise been a landmark season of women's football at the fjordside ground.
Aker Stadium has hosted top-flight women's football on a near-weekly basis throughout 2026, sharing the calendar with Molde FK's Eliteserien commitments in what the club has described as an unprecedented volume of top-flight action at a single Norwegian venue.
Eyes on What Comes Next
Molde W's supporters will be hoping the international break or a reset in training can help the side rediscover their home form before their next Toppserien fixture at Aker Stadium. With Bodø/Glimt W still to visit the ground later in the autumn, there are meaningful opportunities to collect points in front of a home crowd.
On the men's side, Eliteserien visitors Start are due at Aker Stadium on October 18, giving the stadium's fan base something to look forward to as the autumn programme rolls on. Tickets for all remaining home fixtures remain available through Molde FK's official ticketing platform.
