Aker Stadion is heading into the busiest home stretch of the 2026 season. After Molde FK opened the month with a 3-3 draw against Sarpsborg 08 FF on 2 August, the fjordside stadium now turns its attention to Sunday's Eliteserien clash with Tromsø IL, scheduled for kick-off at 17:00 on 16 August.
Molde currently sit fifth in the Eliteserien table with 24 points, and the three points on offer against Tromsø will be fiercely contested on home turf.
Tromsø Visit Sets the Tone
The Tromsø fixture is the centrepiece of a triple-header home programme that makes August the most content-rich home month at Aker Stadion in 2026. Supporters heading to the away end are reminded that entry is restricted to the designated section on the Istad tribune, and that bottles and away colours are not permitted in other parts of the ground.
Tickets for the Tromsø match are already on sale through the official Molde FK ticketing platform, with the club urging fans to secure their seats early ahead of what is expected to be a well-attended fixture.
Molde W Round Off the Month
The home programme does not stop with the men's side. Just six days after the Tromsø encounter, Aker Stadion will host a Toppserien fixture when Molde W take on LSK Kvinner W on 22 August. The back-to-back home weekends mean fans will have two consecutive opportunities to watch top-flight Norwegian football at the same venue.
Molde W have established Aker Stadion as their permanent home base throughout the 2026 season, reinforcing the ground's status as a genuine dual-purpose venue for both the men's and women's game.
