Tromsø Clash and Toppserien Double-Header Fill Aker Stadion's August
Aker Stadion hosts back-to-back weekends of top-flight Norwegian football in August 2026. Molde FK face Tromsø IL in the Eliteserien on 16 August before Molde W take on LSK Kvinner W in the Toppserien on 22 August. Tickets for both fixtures are on sale now through the official Molde FK platform.
Back-to-Back Home Weekends at the Fjord
Aker Stadion is entering its busiest home fortnight of the 2026 season. An Eliteserien clash with Tromsø IL on 16 August — kick-off at 17:00 — is followed just six days later by a Toppserien fixture when Molde W host LSK Kvinner W, giving supporters two successive weekends of top-flight football at the fjordside ground.
The run comes hot on the heels of Molde FK's pulsating 3–3 draw against Sarpsborg 08 FF on 2 August, which opened the home programme for the month.
Sunday's Eliteserien Test Against Tromsø
Tromsø IL arrive at Aker Stadion as a stern examination for Molde FK, with the ground's capacity of 11,249 expected to fill with a vibrant home crowd. Supporters are reminded that the away end is restricted to the designated section on the Istad tribune, and that bottles and away colours are not permitted in other areas of the ground.
Tickets for the Sunday fixture are on sale now through the official Molde FK ticketing platform.
Women's Football Takes Centre Stage on 22 August
Six days after the Tromsø match, the spotlight shifts to the women's game. Molde W host LSK Kvinner W in Round 13 of the 2026 Toppserien, with kick-off scheduled for 12:00 on Saturday 22 August — a rare lunchtime occasion for supporters to watch elite women's football at their own ground.
The fixture is part of a season-long arrangement that has seen Aker Stadion serve as the permanent home base for Molde W throughout the 2026 campaign, underscoring the club's commitment to the full breadth of the game.
A Stadium Built for Every Occasion
With a restaurant, café, ten kiosks and eight commentary boxes, Aker Stadion is well equipped to cater for the varied audiences that Eliteserien and Toppserien fixtures each attract. The ground has been the spiritual home of Molde FK since its inauguration on 18 April 1998, designed by local architect Kjell Kosberg and built at a cost of 212 million kroner.
Tickets for both the Tromsø and LSK Kvinner W fixtures are available through the official Molde FK ticketing platform, with early booking encouraged given the high level of interest surrounding both matches.
