Tromsø Roll Into Town as Aker Stadion Hits Peak August
Molde FK host Tromsø on Sunday 16 August in an Eliteserien showdown at Aker Stadion, kick-off 17:00 — the highlight of a triple-header home month. The men's clash is followed six days later by a Toppserien fixture when Molde W take on LSK Kvinner W at the same fjordside venue.
A Packed Sunday Ahead on the Fjord
Aker Stadion is set for a lively Sunday afternoon as Molde FK welcome Tromsø to the fjordside arena for a Round 18 Eliteserien fixture, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00 local time.
The match is the centrepiece of what shapes up to be one of the stadium's busiest months of the 2026 season, with three home fixtures across the men's and women's programmes crammed into August alone.
Three Fixtures, One Month
Aker Stadion's August schedule opens with the memory of a hard-fought 3–3 draw against Sarpsborg 08 FF on 2 August — a result that will sharpen Molde's appetite for three points at home against Tromsø.
Following Sunday's clash, the stadium returns to action on 22 August when Molde W host LSK Kvinner W in Round 13 of the 2026 Toppserien, with kick-off at 14:00. The back-to-back fixture sequence means the 11,249-capacity arena will be in near-constant use throughout the month.
Know Before You Go
Supporting a busy matchday operation are the stadium's full suite of facilities — a restaurant, café, ten kiosks and eight commentary boxes — catering for supporters, media and community visitors alike. The artificial turf surface, in place since 2014, ensures the ground can stage fixtures throughout the Norwegian season regardless of the weather.
For the Tromsø match, fans are reminded that the away end is restricted to the designated section on the Istad tribune, and that bottles and away colours are not permitted in other stands. Tickets for both the Tromsø Eliteserien fixture and the Toppserien clash against LSK Kvinner W are available through the official Molde FK ticketing platform.
