Aker Stadion's busiest stretch of the summer calendar arrives this weekend, with Molde FK set to host Tromsø in the Eliteserien on Sunday 16 August at 17:00. The fixture is the latest in a rapid-fire sequence of home games that has kept the fjordside arena humming throughout July and August.
The Tromsø clash follows Molde's home league game against Sarpsborg 08 FF on 2 August, meaning supporters have barely had time to catch their breath between matchdays at the 11,249-capacity ground.
Women's Football Next on the Bill
The action does not stop with the men's side. Just one week after the Tromsø fixture, Molde W welcome LSK Kvinner W to Aker Stadion on 22 August in the Toppserien, with kick-off set for 12:00. The double-header of men's and women's top-flight football across consecutive weekends underlines the stadium's role as a genuine dual-purpose venue.
The women's programme has grown steadily in importance to the stadium's overall calendar, and the LSK Kvinner fixture is one of several Toppserien home dates pencilled in for the remainder of the season.
A Deep Autumn Fixture List
Beyond August, the schedule at Aker Stadion stretches well into the Norwegian winter. Eliteserien home fixtures against KFUM Oslo (6 September), Aalesund (19 September), Start (18 October), Fredrikstad (25 October), Bodø/Glimt (22 November) and Viking (6 December) are all confirmed, promising months of top-flight football on the artificial turf surface the stadium has used since 2014.
