Arnesen opened the scoring on 16 minutes to give Vålerenga a 1-0 half-time lead. Brekken doubled the advantage just after the hour, before Preus made it three on 76 minutes. Hegg added a fourth from the penalty spot eight minutes later to complete the rout.

The result leaves Molde W with work to do in the Toppserien as the season enters its final stretch. The fjordside arena nevertheless continues to deliver live top-flight football weekend after weekend — next up for the women's side is a home fixture against Stabæk W on October 4.
