From Memorial Match to Tromsø Showdown: Aker Stadion's Packed Summer
Aker Stadion has been at the centre of community and competitive life in Molde throughout the summer of 2026, hosting a memorial match in July before a string of Eliteserien and Toppserien fixtures. Tromsø arrive this Sunday, with LSK Kvinner W to follow the week after for the women's side. The fixture list runs deep into November.
A Summer That Never Stands Still
Aker Stadion has rarely had a quiet weekend in 2026. The summer schedule burst into life on 13 July when the venue hosted a Minnekamp — a community memorial match — at 17:00, an occasion that illustrated how the arena serves Molde far beyond the boundaries of league football. Just days later, the Eliteserien clash with SK Brann brought the noise and intensity of top-flight competition back to the fjordside ground.
Fixtures Stack Up Through August
The packed calendar shows no sign of easing. Molde's next Eliteserien home fixture is Sunday 16 August against Tromsø, with kick-off at 17:00. That is followed by a visit from Sarpsborg 08 FF — already played on 2 August — and then the women's side, Molde W, welcoming LSK Kvinner W on 22 August in the Toppserien at 12:00.
The fixture list stretches well into the autumn, with further Eliteserien home games against KFUM Oslo, Aalesund, Start, Fredrikstad, Bodø/Glimt and Viking all on the horizon, alongside a rich Toppserien programme for the women's team.
Built for All Occasions
Opened on 18 April 1998 and designed by Molde architect Kjell Kosberg, Aker Stadion was built at a cost of 212 million kroner, funded by Kjell Inge Røkke and Bjørn Rune Gjelsten. With a capacity of 11,249, artificial turf installed in 2014, a restaurant, café, ten kiosks and eight commentary boxes, the arena is equipped to handle the full spectrum of matchday demands across both men's and women's football — and beyond.
Tickets for all upcoming home fixtures are on sale through the official Molde FK ticketing platform.
