Aker Stadion has firmly established itself as one of Norway's most active shared football venues in 2026, hosting top-flight matches for both Molde FK in the Eliteserien and Molde W in the Toppserien across the same calendar. The 11,249-capacity ground on the shores of the Moldefjord completed a remarkable August that saw three home fixtures staged in a single month — the most of any month in the current season.
The run included an Eliteserien clash with Tromsø IL on 16 August and closed with Molde W welcoming LSK Kvinner W on 22 August, meaning supporters experienced back-to-back weekends of top-flight football on the same turf.
Men's and Women's Football Side by Side
Molde W have used Aker Stadion as their permanent home base throughout the entire 2026 Toppserien campaign, a commitment that has turned the venue into a genuine dual-purpose arena. The arrangement sees the stadium stage women's and men's matches in close succession, and the pattern continues into September: the women host Hønefoss BK on 13 September, before the men welcome Aalesund on 19 September.
