The result leaves Molde fifth in the table and keen to regroup before Sarpsborg 08 visit on 2 August.
Brann Strike Twice Before the Break
SK Brann arrived at Aker Stadion on Saturday 18 July and wasted no time making their intentions clear. The visitors scored twice before half-time, building a commanding 2–0 lead that left Molde FK with a mountain to climb on their own turf.
The match was refereed by Marius Lien, and the atmosphere inside the 11,249-capacity ground quickly turned anxious as the home side struggled to contain a sharp Brann attack.
Molde Fight Back — But Too Late
Molde did pull a goal back in the second half, reducing the deficit to 1–2 and briefly raising hopes of a dramatic comeback. Ultimately, however, it was not enough to earn even a point, and SK Brann secured a well-deserved away victory.

Tromsø are then due in Molde on 16 August, ensuring the ground remains a focal point of Eliteserien action throughout the summer.
