Sarpsborg 08 Next to Face Molde at Aker as Summer Heats Up
Aker Stadium prepares to host its next Eliteserien fixture on 2 August, as Molde FK welcome Sarpsborg 08 FF to the fjordside arena. The match is part of a packed home schedule that stretches all the way to December, with several of Norwegian football's biggest clubs still to visit Molde.
Next Up at Aker: Sarpsborg 08 Visit the Fjordside
After a busy July that included a home clash with Brann on 18 July, attention at Aker Stadium has already turned to the next chapter of Molde FK's 2026 Eliteserien campaign. Round 16 brings Sarpsborg 08 FF to Molde on 2 August, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00.
The fixture is one of several high-profile home dates still to come at the 11,249-capacity arena this season, with Tromsø, KFUM Oslo, Aalesund, Bodø/Glimt and Viking all still due to make the trip to the fjordside ground.
A Stadium in Constant Use
Aker Stadium's artificial turf — in place since 2014 — has once again proved its worth this summer. In addition to Eliteserien action, the venue hosted a Minnekamp (memorial match) on 13 July 2026, demonstrating the arena's importance as a community hub well beyond the football calendar.
Molde's women's side, competing in Toppserien, are also scheduled to host LSK Kvinner at Aker Stadium on 22 August, meaning the ground will see near-continuous matchday activity throughout the month.
A Crucial Stretch of the Season
Molde FK are now in the thick of a demanding run of fixtures. Under head coach Sindre Tjelmeland, who took charge on 24 May, the club are looking to build consistency on home turf. Aker Stadium has already witnessed a range of results this term, and the visit of Sarpsborg 08 represents a strong opportunity to consolidate ahead of a challenging August schedule.
Tickets for the Sarpsborg 08 fixture and all remaining home games are available through the official Molde FK ticketing platform.
